My previous post was all about the highlights of my summer, but now that summer's fleeting, it's time to look toward the future and think of autumn's possibilities. Besides the obvious (i.e., Halloween and Thanksgiving), here are a few things that I am extremely excited for.
Sometime this month, my boyfriend Francis and I are going to drive up to Julian. For those of you who aren't familiar with the place, Julian is a small town tucked away in the mountains of Southern California, encompassed by their trademark apple orchards. I've heard that Julian's charm is at its peak in the fall, when their apples have ripened and their leaves have transformed into canopies of red and orange hues. What I'm looking forward to the most when we get there is indulging in some of Julian Pie Company's coveted pies and taking lots and lots of photos. Besides the pie, there are plenty of other things to do there, such as horseback riding and apple picking and tasting. We'll see if we get around to those other activities, but I'm not gonna lie, the pie is our priority!
It is currently almost 100°F where I live right now. This is not funny. In fact, it's a bit upsetting. It's starting to be the time of the year where I'm supposed to get cozy under layers of cute, warm clothing and wear tights and boots all the time. It was fun to dress for summer and all, but I'm starting to crave sweaters and scarves as each sweltering San Diego day passes by. I suppose I'll just have to be patient for now. In the meanwhile, I'll dream up outfits in my head.
On November 8, I will be turning... gasp, 21! These past couple of years, I've been pretty laid back with the way I've been celebrating my birthday, but I figured I should do something memorable (yes, I'd like to actually remember by 21st birthday, if you know what I mean) this year. I've been going through a lot of ideas in my mind and nothing is official yet, but so far these are the things I'm considering the most: going on a dinner cruise with my family and closest friends, going to Disneyland, going to Las Vegas, or going up to LA for fun times with my cousins. I'll still be in school during that time so I'll have to plan carefully.
And of course, I'll keep my blog updated with my fall adventures. Hopefully you all have special things you're looking forward to this season, as well. I feel like autumn is a little underrated and often overshadowed by winter and the holidays that come with it, but this really is a beautiful and wonderful time of the year.
Stay merry!
♡ Bianca
